Perrysburg vs. Medina
The Perrysburg Jackets Rugby team found themselves traveling south to Bowling Green State University to play their first match of the season. The Jackets coaching staff was a little nervous going into the game. They weren't really sure what to expect due to the lack of practice time becasue of inclement weather.
The Jackets were firing on all cylinders right from the kick-off. The Perrysburg forwards were too much to handle winning nearly every lineout and scrum. The scoring was kicked off by Senior Prop Hunter Tammarine and a second try soon followed by newly acquired Cale Bonner. The Perrysburg forwards tallied another 5 tries. Because of the dominant play up front the Jacket backline was able break off long runs capped by Junior Flyhalf Chris Labadie scoring 2 tries.
Perrysburg spread the scoring around against Medina and a few new players got put a few down in the try zone. All in all the Jackets looked strong in the 51-0 finish and are looking forward to the rest of their season.
