Perrysburg vs. Anthony Wayne

Perrysburg traveled out to the Fallen Timbers Golf Course to face Anthony Wayne in the 2nd match of league play. The weather was perfect and the pitch was in great shape despite high amounts of rain that had fallen in the past few days. Anthony Wayne came into the match off of a recent loss to St. John's and were ready to redeem themselves. The Jackets, on the other hand, were ready to continue their undefeated season.

At the kickoff, Perrysburg was having problems doing anything. The ball spent the first 5 minutes stuck in the middle of the field in large rucks. Junior Flyhalf Chris Labadie opened up the scoring with a long darting run through the middle of the Anthony Wayne defense. Spencer Kluge followed up with a conversion putting the Jackets on top where they would remain for the rest of the match.

Anthony Wayne had their hands full with the Jackets. After the scoring started it came quick and often. The Jackets spread the ball around and everyone physically able to play saw time on the pitch. What was really impressive about this match for the Jackets was the replacements. When the starting 15 stepped off of the field, they kept their foot on the petal. The intensity and pressure never let off. All-in-all this was a great showing and an entire team effort to finish this one 62-5.
