A Tough 1st Week of Rugby
Perrysburg's 1st full week of rugby is in the books. The weather finally cooperated and Perrysburg had 2 tough matches on the schedule. The first was against the Jackets arch rival Toledo Celtics. Both teams were rusty after a long off season but the Jackets managed to pull away in the 2nd half to win their first A side match of the season 12-5.

On Sunday March 22, 2015 the Jackets took I-80 for about 2 hrs. for an A-Side and B-Side match against Division I Brunswick High School. This was the Jackets first real test of the season. Brunswick came out swinging but the Jackets held their ground after a Chris Labadie try that was converted by Duncan Wesley. The Jackets went into halftime only trailing 7-14.
The 2nd half would be a different story though. The Jackets struggled to bring the larger Brunswick players to the ground due to poor tackling. Brunswick quickly tallied a lot of points and left the Jackets behind. Jacket Caleb Wotring scored at the end of the game but it was too little too late. The Jackets lost to Division I Brunswick 12-41.
