Perrysburg vs. Brighton
The Perrysburg Jackets Rugby team had an 80 minute drive North to Brighton High School, home of the Bulldogs for their 2nd match of the season. Brighton, who competes in the Michigan Rugby Union, was a relatively unknown team to the Jackets. All they knew was that had to come out strong.
The Bulldogs came out hitting hard and tackling well but the Jackets quickly overwhelmed them. The Jackets forwards were bigger and stronger so they kept it in the pack for the majority of the game. There were some familiar faces finding the try zone for the Jackets again this match but Freshman John Mills, at Outside Center, was able to score his first try in one of the few opportunites that the Jackets backline had.
